NextVR and ICC are bringing fans around the world to the pitch to experience some of the world’s best soccer clubs in virtual reality. The global game is coming to the United States in July 2017 and will be available on the ICC Channel in the NextVR app. Fans can experience VR highlights of 9 matches that will be available in NextVR following the match. On July 29th the EL Clásico match from Miami will be broadcast LIVE in NextVR featuring Real Madrid and FC Barcelona.
Calling the matches from the NextVR booth will be 2004 Mexico Olympic Team Captain and 2007 FIFA World All-Star Monica Gonzalez, former Bundesliga and New York Red Bulls defender Heath Pearce, and seasoned MLS and NBA sportscaster Mark Rogondino.
Fans with a Samsung Gear VR headset or a Google Daydream View, along with a compatible smartphone, can experience the matches by downloading the NextVR app from the Oculus Store for Gear VR users or from the Google Play Store for Daydream. For detailed instructions, visit www.nextvr.com/getvr.
