New York, NY, July 25, 2018 – COPA90, a global multi-platform soccer media business, today announced an expansive partnership with NextVR, the leader in broadcasting live events in virtual reality, to create and distribute soccer content to fans around the world.

COPA90 and NextVR will collaborate on a wide-range of soccer events, tournaments and content projects, including the International Champions Cup to expand its portfolio of sports contnet. To kick off the partnership, COPA90 will be the presenting VR sponsor of NextVR’s live broadcast of the International Champions Cup July 25th match - AC Milan vs Manchester United. Fans will be fully immersed in the match and feel like they’re on the pitch in NextVR’s 3D stereoscopic live broadcast. The match will also be simulcast in the Oculus Venues app where fans have the opportunity to experience the excitement and engage with friends in virtual reality.

A dedicated COPA90 channel will launch later this month in the NextVR app and will become the ultimate destination for soccer fans in virtual reality. The first segment will feature behind-the-scenes access with US Soccer’s biggest star, Christian Pulisic - as COPA90 collaborated with Pulisic, the Chicago Cubs, and Borussia Dortmund prior to their ICC match with Manchester City game at Soldier Field.

“As the global leader in fan driven storytelling, we’re thrilled to partner with COPA90,“ said Danny Keens, NextVR vice president of content. “We share a common passion of changing the way soccer fans experience the beautiful game around the world. And through virtual reality, we have the ability to bring them even closer to the experience.”

NextVR’s summer of soccer kicked off last week with the release of the International Champions Cup Tournament Experience. Heath Pearce, former US Men’s National Team player and current host of COPA90 returned to the NextVR Studio for a second year to preview the match-ups of ten of the world’s premiere soccer clubs on the VR schedule.

“NextVR’s technology is mind-blowing, and for the first time ever, fans can watch COPA90 in high resolution VR, providing them with a unparralled viewing experience,” said Tom Thirlwall, CEO COPA90. “COPA90 wants to unite the world through soccer and this partnership and technology will only bring fans around the world closer together.”

Complementing the July 25th match, a three-part series will capture the energy and excitement around the teams, tournament, and players that will be released across COPA90 social platforms prior to the match. The series will also include COPA90 shows, including FIFA Showdown, where COPA90 will be giving away Oculus GO virtual reality headsets to promote the live VR broadcast.

COPA90 is a global soccer company and broke a new viewership around the FIFA World Cup with over 500 Million views. COPA90 is now regarded as the definitive youth media brand for soccer.

COPA90US, previously known as KICK, was rebranded as part of the rollout of a consistent global brand identity for COPA90 in August 2017.

The brand's influence is far-reaching. COPA90 hits and highlights include the recently launched Walk Talk Football show – hosted by former MLS All-Star and U.S. Men's National Team Player, Heath Pearce, and “FIFA Showdown,” a biweekly show about the all things global soccer and gaming.

Mundial magazine called COPA90 "The voice of a generation."  COPA 90's FIFA and Chill interview format has also attracted the likes of David Beckham, Paul Pogba, Lil Yachty, and Chelsea Striker Michy Batshuayi.

In recent months, COPA90 has consolidated its position as a disrupter of the sports media landscape with a number of innovations. In 2016, it was the first soccer brand to build a Facebook Messenger chatbot for the UEFA European Championship and in July 2018 announced with SnapChat, redefining how content should look and feel for a new generation.  For the latest content, follow us on Twitter @copa90US or visit
