NextVR Releases 2018 International Champions Cup Virtual Reality Schedule

World-Class Coverage Includes Two NextVR Studio Shows, Two Live Matches, and 10 High Resolution VR Match Highlights

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., July 11, 2018 – NextVR, the leader in broadcasting live events in virtual reality, in partnership with Relevent Sports, a division of RSE Ventures, will once again bring fans onto the pitch to experience the International Champions Cup in virtual reality. NextVR will broadcast two marquee match-ups live in virtual reality, and also give fans the chance to relive ten International Champions Cup matches in high resolution VR. 

NextVR’s summer of soccer kicks off today with the release of the International Champions Cup Tournament Experience. Heath Pearce, former Bundesliga and New York Red Bulls defender, returns to the NextVR Studio for a second year, and will be joined by Kristin Kenny to preview the match-ups of ten of the world’s premiere soccer clubs on the VR schedule.

A total of twelve VR cameras will be positioned along the pitch and throughout StubHub Center (July 25: A.C. Milan vs. Manchester United F.C.) and the Rose Bowl (July 28: FC Barcelona vs. Tottenham Hotspur F.C.) to virtually transport fans into the matches. The fully produced live VR broadcasts will include dedicated announcers US National Soccer Hall of Famer Cobi Jones, known for his standout performances with Team USA and LA Galaxy, and seasoned MLS and NBA sportscaster Mark Rogondino, for pre-game, play-by-play, halftime analysis, and match recap. Fans also have the opportunity to experience both live matches in real time with friends via the Venues app by Oculus.
